I aspire to live in a 1987 Dodge Roadtrek van down by the river. Except the van has Starlink… and dual monitors ready to send K-1s from Moab, UT. Who said van life wasn’t for CPAs?

If you are looking for suit and tie, grey hair and a fax number, you won’t find that here. I am younger than the tax code I advise on, and I was in diapers when your CPA was making partner at the firm that they sold their soul to for a few hundred grand.

What Do I Do?

I’m glad you asked.

I mainly do the following:

  1. Proactively advise real estate operators looking for tax efficiency,
  2. Creatively structure syndications, funds, and complex partnerships/JVs to achieve total tax optimization,
  3. Serve as a second set of eyes for syndication and real estate attorneys tasked with drafting LPA, LLCA, OA, PPM, etc.,
  4. Pick up the phone when my clients are at the closing table and need help putting out last-minute fires,
  5. And last but not least, I spend January through March 15th preparing thousands of K-1s for my clients’ investors.
