I am a CPA that helps real estate syndicators, operators, and developers. Read my previous posts on **LinkedIn** to benefit from some free tax knowledge and to get a sense of the problems I solve for clients.
My expertise is in partnership taxation, waterfall / PE-style economics, complex real estate transactions (1031x, 721, TIC, OZ, Funds, etc.), and tax-efficient GP fee/carry structuring.
About Me.
I aspire to live in a 1987 Dodge Roadtrek van down by the river. Except the van has Starlink… and dual monitors ready to send K-1s from Moab, UT. Who said van life wasn’t for CPAs?
If you are looking for suit and tie, grey hair and a fax number, you won’t find that here. I am younger than the tax code I advise on, and I was in diapers when your CPA was making partner at the firm that they sold their soul to for a few hundred grand.

^^Obligatory Headshot.
What Do I Do?
I’m glad you asked.
I mainly do the following:
- Proactively advise real estate operators looking for tax efficiency,
- Creatively structure syndications, funds, and complex partnerships/JVs to achieve total tax optimization,
- Serve as a second set of eyes for syndication and real estate attorneys tasked with drafting LPA, LLCA, OA, PPM, etc.,
- Pick up the phone when my clients are at the closing table and need help putting out last-minute fires,
- And last but not least, I spend January through March 15th preparing thousands of K-1s for my clients’ investors.
Who Do I Help?
- Experienced operators/syndicators with complex capital structures
- Large operators and family offices with established real estate holdings (typically >$40M AUM),
- Operators who are used to simple JVs who need guidance as they branch into private-equity-style capital structures.
- Are you just starting out?
- That’s okay too. Though I normally advise on larger operations, I work on a team designed to help beginners too, so it doesn’t hurt to reach out.
